First teaching experience. (:

Haha, actually it's not that bad lah. At least it's a pleasant start! The attendance was quite bad as many of them have gone overseas for hols. Those who turned up are the more obedient ones. haha! Must thank Jasmine (xls's student) for being our 'mentor'. Thanks for driving us there and guiding us too!

We splitted into groups after that. So I was teaching 2 boys, Jerome and Yu Xuan. They're really smart! At least they know how to read the scores. Cos I know back in my pri sch, ppl learn by dots or fingerings that xls says. Teaching them is like returning to those good old days when we had xiaozu in pri sch... As we're all still small, xls had to teach a few notes by a few notes and we always play w/o bothering abt the intonation. Even when the teacher is talking, we'll still play our erhus like nobody's business. When it's break, everyone will just chiong out of the classroom to play and eat; nobody bothers to stay back and prac in class. Haha! Yes, this is primary sch's xiaozu.

Anyway, back to the two little boys, they're pretty fast learners. Good thing they do not have any prob with syncopated notes (cos it's a prominent problem amongst beginners and it's also a tough problem to solve). They're just unfamiliar with 二把位, esp the 内弦 notes. Jerome is damn funny cos he'll get pissed with himself when he's unable to get it. They both look very sian when I teach. So I'll give them short breaks and tell them jokes. Haha! Hmmm.. I shall go n replenish my jokes for wed's xiaozu... hohoho!
